Nick Norton

Or, more commonly known around here as Nick. Nick Norton, 23 years of age, has had an instrument in his hands for 15 years now. At every stage of his life since first picking up the sax, he has taken music somewhere new. His love of all things musical has had him pushing the limits of every genre, often to the dismay of his peers. There is no complacency in him. Living in the self described “grey areas” of musical composition, somewhere between the diluted themes of popular music and the high art classically-trained contemporaries, he stands among giants who have bridged the gap.

Currently living in London, Nick is finishing up compositional studies at King’s College. His journey has been long and hard fought, but never in vain. As the guitar wielding machine and inspiration for many of Honest Iago’s songs, Norton has had many outlets aside from his extensive classical compositions. He can listen to your punk riffed tracks and explain to you in plain English why you could use some synth, and not another guitarist, to fill in the gaps.

We are happy to have him on our team here at Pavement Press as A/R Director, working hard on bringing in new and inspiring musicians to our effort. In addition to his work here, which is never done, you can find his solo work at Nick Writes Music.
