Dan Brummert: Heroes (REVISITED!)
If you remember the project released last year by our New England lensman, titled “Heroes Everyday,” you’re likely still haunted by the stark, unabashed imagery that he laid out before us. This fast paced and intense project left us all spinning, wanting more! To look over his first edit of images, please check out the link, here.
Over the weekend, Brummert sent a brief update on the project to keep us all tuned into his work. He is still on the chase with some of the most heroic and over looked professionals of our lifetime, capturing imagery from a perspective rarely taken. I look at these images and think that Hollywood, in all of its production-laden glory, would love to dig into the reality of his moments. There is a glint in the eye that cannot exist in any other setting, and although it is terrifying, it is comforting at how real it is. So much of our art is self-censored to be comfortable, it is refreshing to once again see that there are no holds barred when it comes to Dan’s photographs.
Stay on it Dan…fee free to send us more updates as they materialize.

Nice photographs Dan, looks like you are capturing some pretty real scenes, not always glamorous but definitely can hit home.
Looking forward to seeing more!
